Our skin is the largest organ of our body. As we take care of our other body organs like.... we must take care of our skin which protect us from bacteria and viruses, also help regulate our body temperature and permits the sensations of touch, heat and cold. We must keep our skin healthy to avoid wrinkles, sunburn, skin damage and even skin cancer. Healthy skin keeps infections away.

There are several ways to protect our skin. One of the most important product we must use to protect our skin while in the sun or outdoor is sunscreen. It prevent sunburn and wrinkles and can decrease skin cancer risks. Sunscreen must contain protection factor (SPF) not less than 35 to be effective against the outdoor harsh elements such as UV radiation. However, sunscreens can not protect our skin completely so taking extra precautions such as wearing a brimmed sun protection hat, using a lip cream containing sunscreen, and wearing sun protective clothing will surely help protect our skin around the clock.

It is important to have knowledge and be aware of the different sun protection products available, because some may not provide the right protection required for your type of skin. Also unhealthy junk food, smoking and even stress are some of the main reasons that affect and damage our skin. Also using warm water, long showers and strong soaps may affect the defenses of your skin by removing essential oils from our skin which help keep it elastic and moisture. There are many natural and healthy ways to protect our skin and make it look much younger like avocado, tomato, green tea, lemon and vitamin C and whole grains. One of the most important things is to keep our skin hydrated by drinking a lot amount of water and enough of organic fruits and vegetables. Massaging the face from time to time is also a good way for the skin because it helps the circulation of the blood. We need to nourish our skin from inside to glow from outside, cosmetics cant always work alone.
